
Walter Hoyle (1922-2000)
Walter Hoyle studied at the Royal College of Art under Edward
Bawden.
He later, together with Bawden and Ravilious, became resident in Great
Bardfield,
where there were many exhibitions in the 1950s.
He taught at Cambridge School of Art for 20 years and set up the
Cambridge Print Editions
which produced limited editions of his and other artists works.
Shell, the BBC and the Post Office commissioned works from him and the
Tate Gallery,
the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum hold his work.
