Iola Spafford studied at Bristol and Nottingham Schools of Art and at the Slade School of Fine Art.
She won a travelling scholarship to Italy in 1954.
Iola Spafford has shown at the RA and her work is held at Salford Art Gallery and Manchester City Art Gallery.
